Nio (NYSE: NIO) participated in an electric vehicle show in Sweden, showcasing three models it has already launched in Europe as well as its electric supercar.

The company showcased the ET7, EL7, ET5 and electric supercar EP9 at the Swedish eCarExpo event in early December, it said in an article posted today on Nio App.

The EL7 is known as the ES7 in China, a model that was renamed at the last minute before its European launch because of a trademark lawsuit from Audi.

Sweden’s eCarExpo is well known in Northern Europe, especially for its focus on automation and sustainability, according to the Nio article.

Nio brought the EP9 to the show not only because of its outstanding looks, but also because it was Nio’s first car, a world-record-breaking electric supercar, according to Niklas Gustafson, head of Nio’s Swedish user operations.

The EP9 establishes the high-performance DNA of Nio’s production models, said Gustafson.

During the show, Nio invited many new consumers to test drive and experience the ET7 and received positive comments from them, according to the article.

Nio held the Nio Berlin launch event on October 7 European time, introducing the three latest models — the ET7, EL7 and ET5 — to European consumers.

Unlike its direct sales of vehicles in Norway and China, Nio initially allowed local consumers in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden to lease vehicles only, not buy them.

On November 21, Nio began offering purchase options in those countries as well, with deliveries of cars with the purchase options to begin in 2023.

On November 15, Nio delivered the ET7 to consumers in Sweden for the first time.

On November 17, the company’s first battery swap station in Sweden went live in Varberg.

On December 8, Nio opened an Nio Space at Westfield Täby Mall Centrum in the Swedish capital Stockholm, its first local showroom.
