Li Auto Adjusts Q2 Delivery Forecast Amid System Upgrades
Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has revised its second-quarter vehicle delivery guidance downward, citing temporary disruptions from ongoing sales system improvements. The Chinese EV maker now expects to deliver approximately 108,000 units in Q2 2025, significantly lower than its initial projection of 123,000-128,000 vehicles.

June Delivery Projections and Organizational Changes
Based on April and May deliveries of 33,939 and 40,856 units respectively, Li Auto anticipates June shipments will reach approximately 33,205 vehicles. This adjustment coincides with significant organizational restructuring:
- President Ma Donghui now oversees R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, and sales operations
- Sales department integrated into R&D and supply group
- New structure designed to support upcoming BEV model launches
Preparing for BEV Model Launches
The restructuring comes as Li Auto prepares to launch its first battery electric vehicles – the Li i8 and Li i6 models in late July. These models will compete directly with Xiaomi’s recently launched YU7 electric SUV, which garnered over 240,000 orders within 18 hours of its debut.
According to company statements, Li Auto remains confident the organizational upgrades will be completed before the Li i8 launch, positioning the company for stronger performance in the second half of 2025.
Market Context and Competitive Landscape
The Chinese EV market continues to intensify, with Xiaomi’s successful YU7 launch demonstrating strong consumer demand for premium electric SUVs. Li Auto’s upcoming models will enter this competitive segment as the company works to optimize its sales and delivery systems.
