In China, new car buyers may get their new car keys from drones, rather than human workers — at least this is a new policy of Geely.
China’s large domestic automaker Geely highlighted its new crown virus protection measures to protect car buyers from infection.
Right now, Geely has expanded its contactless delivery system, bringing new cars to homes or workplaces of car buyers.
The new delivery system will allow companies to deliver car keys to car buyers via drones, which can fly directly to someone’s door or balcony.
There, the new owner will receive a small bag containing the car keys without any traces of contact.
The automaker said that the company sold 10,000 vehicles through online channels in February this year.
The company then asks the dealer to complete these orders, which is responsible for managing the order and preparing it for delivery.
