Zeekr has launched the Zeekr 009 in Singapore, its second model there after the Zeekr X. Its first store in Singapore is the 500th in the world.
Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) today launched the Zeekr 009 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) in Singapore and opened its first store in the city-state, which is also its 500th worldwide.
The Zeekr 009 is available in Singapore in 7-seater and 6-seater versions with a starting price of SGD 409,900 ($305,050) and SGD 419,900 respectively.
In China, the regular Zeekr 009 is offered in three variants with starting prices of RMB 439,000 ($60,540), RMB 459,000, and RMB 469,000 respectively.
In addition to the regular version, Zeekr also offers the Zeekr 009 Grand in China, with a starting price of RMB 789,000 yuan.
The vehicles are sold at much higher prices in Singapore than in China mainly due to the high costs of owning a car including the COE (Certificate of Entitlement).
The Zeekr 009 is the second model offered by Zeekr in Singapore, which launched the Zeekr X compact SUV (sport utility vehicle) there on August 1. The SUV is offered in two variants in Singapore, starting at SGD 199,900 for the standard version and SGD 214,900 for the flagship version.
The Zeekr X is currently available in China in four variants with a starting price range of RMB149,000 to RMB179,000.
The company’s 500th global store opened today in Singapore and it will add more stores within this year, according to a statement.
As of now, Zeekr has 447 stores in China and 53 overseas. The company opened its first store in September 2021 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
Zeekr is accelerating its entry into the global market and has entered more than 40 international mainstream markets including Sweden, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Mexico and Egypt, it said.
By the end of this year, Zeekr’s global stores are expected to reach 520, it added.
Zeekr signed a partnership agreement with Singapore-based dealer Premium Auto on December 28, 2023, marking its entry into the country’s automotive market.
