Chery has teased the QQ Ice Cream several times, and the latest spy shots show a front resembling the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, China’s best-selling electric car.

The vehicle features the closed front grille design common in new energy vehicles, with a charging port behind the central logo, according to photos posted on Weibo.

The headlight clusters on both sides of the car are polygonal with U-shaped light cavities inside, and the daytime running lamps are quite eye-catching.

The shape of the body resembles a square box, with a flat roof to allow more headroom for passengers.

Previously Cherry said that Chery QQ ice cream will have 7 youthful style colors.

On July 19, Chery released the first teaser image of the QQ, the latest product in the line.

The new car continues the cute design language of the QQ model, with semi-circular headlights that look like a pair of cat eyes.

The Chery QQ was once a household name in China as a representative of small cars, and this new car is the first product of Chery’s iCar ecosystem, which will be available this year.

The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV sold 29,143 units in China in June, up 12.56 percent from May, and remains the best-selling new energy vehicle in the country, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
