Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) announced today that it will release its unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2024 on Tuesday, November 19, before the US markets open.
The company’s management will host an earnings call on November 19 at 8:00 am US Eastern time (9:00 pm Beijing time).
During the third quarter, Xpeng delivered 46,533 vehicles, exceeding the upper end of its guidance range of 41,000 to 45,000 vehicles, previously published data show.
Deliveries for the quarter were up 16.31 percent year-on-year and up 54.05 percent from the second quarter.
Xpeng guided third-quarter revenue to be in the range of RMB 9.1 billion ($1.27 billion) to RMB 9.8 billion when it announced its second-quarter results on August 20, up about 6.7 percent to 14.9 percent year-on-year.
The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker reported revenue of RMB 8.11 billion in the second quarter, which was within its guidance range of RMB 7.5 billion to RMB 8.3 billion. This represents an increase of 60.2 percent from RMB 5.06 billion in the same period in 2023 and an increase of 23.9 percent from RMB 6.55 billion in the first quarter of 2024.
Xpeng’s gross margin was 14.0 percent in the second quarter, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of sequential growth. The figure was -3.9 percent in the same period in 2023 and 12.9 percent in the first quarter of 2024.
It reported a vehicle margin of 6.4 percent in the second quarter, compared to -8.6 percent in the same period in 2023 and 5.5 percent in the first quarter of 2024.
The company reported a net loss of RMB 1.28 billion in the second quarter, a decrease of 54.12 percent year-on-year and down 6.08 percent from the first quarter.
