Save Big, Be Prepared: EDC Deals Starting Below $10

This week, I’ve found some big savings on EDC tools packed with utility. I’ve also come across some unique items and even tried to fill a few requests. Starting with something at the higher end of pricing, that’s still a great deal on a useful device. I’ve been wearing a Garmin GPS Smartwatch for a few months. My normal daily watch is an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I like the Apple, but the battery life isn’t great. This Garmin Instinct 2 Solar, Tactical-Edition has navigation, 100-meter water resistance, solar charging, and all the fitness functions of other smartwatches, and it’s currently $348.40—100 bucks off!

I’ve mentioned before I’m not a real knife guy. I use them and appreciate a great knife, but I normally don’t have one on me — there was an unfortunate incident with TSA. Anyway, I was asked if I could find a knife that “looked like part of EDC for a professional.” And not that kind of professional. I took that as something that wouldn’t look out of place next to a Mercedes S Classe key. I’m sure cost isn’t an issue in this situation, but this Victorinox Swiss Army Pioneer Pocket Knife for $43.93 is an excellent deal for everyone, and it has a classic look and feel that is both dressy and rugged.

On to something I’ve never seen before. It’s a bracelet with a tungsten carbide bead; so you can break glass with it. I don’t know that it actually works, I don’t see why it wouldn’t. It also has a handcuff key, which, if you need to carry, your life is a lot different than mine. It’s only $21.59 so if nothing else is fairly cheap for a conversation starter.

A few more before we get to the photos. We’re still in monsoon season here in the desert, so a packable rain jacket like this Rab Downpour for $98.00 is great to stick in your bag. My corrective lenses may get my eyes to 20/20, but I still need a little help sometimes and this JARLINK 30X 60X Illuminated Jewelers Loupe for $8.99 is just the ticket. And if the Swiss Army Knife still isn’t doing it for you, I found two options for emergency scissors, one a multitool.
