Zeekr has invested more than 7 billion RMB in SEA-M architecture that enables ultimate space, and the Zeekr Mix is the first model based on the architecture.

Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has unveiled the new SEA-M architecture and the first model based on it, the Zeekr Mix, at the 2024 Beijing auto show, which begins today.
The SEA-M architecture, a derivative of the original Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), is Zeekr’s mobility solution that supports a wide range of products, from passenger cars like robotaxis and MPVs (multi-purpose vehicles) to commercial vehicles for logistics, the company said.
Zeekr has invested more than RMB 7 billion ($970 million) to realize the combination of ultimate space, vehicle safety and swift handling on the SEA-M architecture, it said.
The architecture supports the creation of an intelligent “living room” on wheels, including a spacious interior, with variable seat placement choices, according to the company.
With a flat floor, high wheelbase-to-length ratio and a capsule-styled exterior, every model based on the SEA-M architecture maximizes interior space, Zeekr said.
The SEA-M architecture enables a spacious and swift driving experience with a turning radius of less than five meters.
The architecture incorporates a technical interface for steer-by-wire, which allows for variable steering ratios as well as the potential to decouple the steering wheel for future advanced intelligent driving.
The Zeekr Mix is Zeekr’s fifth model and the first to be built on the SEA-M architecture, with the goal of reimagining the spatial experience of future mobility.
The Zeekr Mix has a length of 4.7 meters, a wheelbase of 3 meters and a ground clearance of 39 centimeters.
The model has 6.3 square meters of cabin space, the largest in its class, according to Zeekr.
The Zeekr Mix is also the world’s first production car with electrically rotatable front seats that support 270 degrees of rotation, it said.
Zeekr has not announced when the Zeekr Mix will officially go on sale; the model entered a regulatory filing catalog in China last month.
