The company’s China headquarters is located in Hefei, Anhui province, which is home to its two factories.

Nio originally had only one headquarters in Shanghai, and on February 25, 2020, the company announced that it would establish its China headquarters in Hefei to build an R&D, sales, and production base.

This is part of the company’s agreement with Hefei, whose investment has allowed it to weather the financial crisis of late 2019 to early 2020.

On October 9, 2020, Nio officially opened its China headquarters in Hefei.
