Nio’s autonomous driving-related team is currently around 500 people, and will increase by 300 to 800 by the end of the year, William Li, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Nio, said during the company’s second-quarter conference call.
“The organization of Nio’s autonomous driving team is not quite the same as other companies, with four VPs reporting to me, including hardware, operating systems, algorithms, and system integration,” Li said.
