Beijing’s largest centralized electric vehicle charging station was put into use on May 15 in the underground parking lot of Wukesong Sports Center, which will provide convenient charging services for people’s recreation, medical treatment, and watching the Winter Olympic Games in the future.

The charging station has a total of 200 charging piles, including 80 60kW DC piles and 120 7kW AC piles, providing a maximum charging capacity of approximately 1,300 vehicle trips per day.

At present, the National Grid has 326 charging piles in the vicinity of the Winter Olympic Games venues, covering seven Winter Olympic Games venues.

In 2020, China Network Beijing Power will also complete the construction of charging stations such as the Shougang Ski Jumping Platform, Changping Shangdian Service Area of Jingli Expressway and other charging stations, which will achieve full coverage of the Winter Olympic Games venue and the Beijing section of Jingli Expressway charging piles.
